Base Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 + Super + 10% KPI Bonus

A national leader in managed rental services is seeking a hands-on Transport Operations Manager to take charge of daily delivery operations at their Alexandria branch. This is a people-first leadership role with real impact across Greater Sydney’s service network.

With decades of experience, this business delivers workwear, linen, mats, industrial consumables, and first aid supplies to essential sectors like healthcare, hospitality, accommodation, and manufacturing. Backed by a team of 2,000+ employees nationwide, they operate with a strong focus on hygiene, compliance, and service consistency.

About the Role

• Lead a team of 25 drivers (mix of employees and contractors)
  
  
• Oversee a fleet of vehicles (mostly MR trucks, some vans)
  
  
• Coordinate and optimise daily delivery routes
  
  
• Manage rostering, onboarding, training, and driver performance
  
  
• Ensure vehicle safety, maintenance, and compliance (Whip Around)
  
  
• Uphold WHS, Chain of Responsibility, and service delivery standards
  
  
• Act as point of escalation for transport-related issues
  
  
• Partner with the Service Manager to drive operational results
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years’ experience in transport/logistics leadership
  
  
• Skilled at managing both contractors and direct employees
  
  
• Strong knowledge of WHS and Chain of Responsibility (CoR)
  
  
• Experience in route optimisation and resource planning
  
  
• MR or HR licence preferred
  
  
• Clear communicator with a hands-on leadership style
  
  
• Competent in Excel and fleet/transport systems
