Our Client is a national logistics business that acts as a vital link between clients, transport providers, and storage services. We are currently seeking a Junior Transport Allocator to join the operational team at their site in Mascot, offering a full-time permanent opportunity on a Monday to Friday shift within a supportive team environment.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Transport Allocator to join our client's operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and allocating transport jobs to appropriate carriers. You will ensure that jobs are tracked, statuses are updated, and customer expectations are met. You will also work closely with customers, transport partners and internal staff to ensure smooth communication and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and action job requests through various channels, including email, transport management systems, and customer portals.
• Allocate jobs to the appropriate transport carriers based on capacity and requirements.
• Monitor the status of jobs throughout the process and proactively address any delays or issues.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, carrier partners, and internal teams to ensure smooth collaboration.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including customers and carriers, to provide updates and resolve any issues.
• Ensure all transport-related data is accurately logged and updated in the transport management system.
• Follow instructions and guidelines to ensure compliance and consistency in job allocations.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service focus and possess excellent communication skills. You will be comfortable picking up the phone and working with a variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment are essential.
