The Role:
The Transport Contract Manager will take charge of the planning, execution, and administrative aspects of heavy vehicle tanker truck operations. This involves managing the scheduling and allocation of drivers and vehicles, overseeing the daily operations, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety, fatigue management, and chain of responsibility obligations.
You will be responsible for:
- Transport planning and load optimization, balancing customer needs and operational efficiency
- Overseeing drivers and vehicle movements, monitoring performance, and resolving operational issues as they arise
- Managing post-shift administration, including paperwork, timesheet processing, and incident reporting
- Engaging with customers to provide updates on transport plans and performance
- Two nights per week on-call, with the flexibility to manage from home.
- Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
The Package:
- A competitive salary range of $90k to $110k per annum

The Candidate:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in heavy vehicle operations, transport planning, scheduling, and vehicle management
- Knowledge of relevant transport and road safety regulations, including fatigue management, mass regulations, and maintenance requirements
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including conflict resolution and reporting abilities
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
- A Diploma in Transport, Logistics, or a related field is desirable, though not essential.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, with a strong ability to make decisions on the fly and resolve operational issues efficiently
- High attention to detail, particularly when managing multiple tasks and ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.
