About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to join our team at Nature's Best in Launceston, Tasmania. As the Production Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimising the manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient and effective production of our high-quality products. What you'll be doing

Manage and coordinate all aspects of the production process, including planning, scheduling, and maintenance activities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of production, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and productivity targets

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase output

Collaborate with the cross-functional team to resolve production-related issues and optimise workflow

Manage and develop a team of production personnel, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback

Analyse production data and generate reports to track key performance indicators and inform decision-making

Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably within the food manufacturing industry (experience with HACCP will be highly regarded)

Strong working knowledge of production management principles, including planning, scheduling, and quality control

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and implement practical solutions

Proficient in the use of computers and MS Office software

Proven track record of leading and motivating a team, with a focus on continuous improvement and employee development

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation

Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline, is highly desirable
