Nominated Position Job Title: Facility Plant Manager
Required Qualifications:
At least a Diploma Certificate; A diploma of facilities management, asset management and building services management is highly preferred but not necessary.
Required Experience:
If you hold a Diploma in facilities management, asset management, and building services management, a minimum of one year of Horticultural Strawberry Farm working experience is required.
For candidates without a diploma in the mentioned fields, we mandate a minimum of two years of practical working experience in Horticultural Strawberry Farm.
Required Skills:
- Ability to work flexible hours. We might ask you to work overtime with pay during harvest season. You must be able to accept the flexible and consistently changed work shift. It means your days off may change from time to time depends on our harvest season and non-harvest season.

- Practical skills in harvest and post-harvest management.
- Proficiency in equipment and facilities management.
- Project management skills with a track record of successful execution
- A willingness to learn, grow, and adapt in a dynamic farming environment.
- A genuine passion for working the land and contributing to agricultural excellence.
- Experience with trouble shooting and problem solving
- You must be self-motivated, inquisitive and proactive in your work.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to use and/or learn required software (eg Microsoft, MTrack)
- High level of numeracy and literacy skills
Proposed tasks:
- Shed Floor Management: Oversee day-to-day operations on the shed floor, maintaining a high standard of work practices.
- Cool Room Maintenance: Ensure that all cool rooms are functioning correctly to preserve the quality of our products.
- Efficient Packing: Supervise the packing process to ensure that all berries are packed according to specifications, efficiently and without compromising on quality.
- Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely and quality product delivery, meeting our delivery schedules.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of staff responsible for managing the packing shed floor efficiently.
- Objective Setting: Work closely with the post-harvest operations manager to establish daily and weekly objectives.
- Quality Control: Assist in supervising staff engaged in quality control, residue limit monitoring, and meeting protocol requirements, especially for export markets.
- Communication and Coordination: Liaise with our grower services teams and farm managers to ensure the smooth delivery of fresh produce for packing.
- Compliance Management: Ensure that all protocol and MRL requirements advised by Technical Services and customer demands are implemented in the packing and logistics process, including traceability, labelling, and documentation.
- Resource Procurement: Oversee the procurement of temporary labour, consumables, freight, and other services needed to efficiently move produce from farms through the supply chain to our customers.
- Asset Management: Contribute to plans for asset refurbishment, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Relations: Manage relationships with external service providers, growers, and other stakeholders, both personally and contractually.
- Budget Input: Provide input into project cost-analysis and budget preparation.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all packing shed staff comply with occupational health and safety and quality assurance requirements, following established policies and procedures.
