We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation to find a Senior Operational Risk Manager to support their Institutional Risk division. This role plays a pivotal part in enhancing risk maturity and strengthening risk management across global markets businesses. You will act as an independent advisor, attending business risk and governance forums, and offering strategic operational risk insights. A strong understanding of Markets products, customers, and risk drivers is essential, along with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and uplift risk culture across the business.

You’ll be responsible for independently overseeing operational risk profiles, challenging business risk activities, and ensuring compliance with internal frameworks and obligations. This includes deep dives, risk reviews, and supporting the business in identifying control gaps, technology risks, and remediation opportunities. With your data-driven approach, you’ll help generate actionable insights to improve the overall control environment and risk management practices.

This is a senior-level role suited to an experienced operational risk or audit professional with deep knowledge of the Markets landscape. Your ability to collaborate, influence, and lead will be key as you work closely with stakeholders across business units, assurance teams, internal audit, and broader risk functions.
