Are you an experienced Plant & Maintenance Manager looking for an opportunity to lead and improve maintenance operations in the mobile plant hire industry? Equipped Plant Hire Ltd is seeking a highly motivated Plant & Maintenance Manager to oversee the servicing, repair, and availability of our fleet of mobile plant equipment and vehicles across mining and civil projects in Western Australia.

The Role

As Plant & Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of our fleet and plant equipment. You will lead a team of maintenance professionals, coordinate servicing schedules, and implement best practices to minimise downtime and maximise equipment availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the maintenance and servicing of mobile plant equipment across multiple project sites.

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to optimise equipment performance.

• Manage and coordinate maintenance teams, including in-house technicians and external contractors.

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, environmental, and industry regulations.

• Monitor fleet performance, diagnose faults, and implement improvements to reduce breakdowns.

• Work closely with operations and project managers to align maintenance with project needs.

• Control maintenance budgets, procurement, and spare parts inventory.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Minimum of 5 - 10 years proven experience in plant and equipment maintenance management within the mobile plant hire, mining, or civil construction industries.

• A trade qualification (Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic) or relevant Motor Mechanic qualification

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance planning.

• Knowledge of safety and environmental compliance requirements in WA.

• Experience with maintenance management systems and reporting tools such as Viper / IVMS program is desirable.

• Strong business development and technical knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.

• Experience with management of commercial vehicle agreements

•Strong technology skills, including in Microsoft suite of programs and MS Teams, SharePoint.

•A National Police Clearance is required, and ability undergo full Pre-Employment Medical clearance.
