CKG has been exclusively instructed by a leading real estate group, widely recognised as a market leader and positioned for significant growth – both locally and globally.

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced lawyer to join their high-performing Legal team.

As Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll deliver timely, strategic legal advice across a wide spectrum of matters, including large-scale corporate and real estate transactions, capital structuring, construction, disputes, workplace relations, and operational issues.

This opportunity offers:

A career-defining role within a purpose-led, growth-focused industry leader.

Broad exposure across real estate, corporate, and commercial legal matters.

A visible, business-facing position with clear progression opportunities.

Collaboration with senior executives and top-tier legal talent.

A premium office in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.

A high-performing, inclusive, and supportive team culture.

Competitive remuneration, annual bonus, and benefits.

Responsibilities

Provide commercially focused legal advice across real estate, corporate, construction, disputes, and employment matters.

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and internal documentation.

Develop and implement governance frameworks, policies, and legal processes.

Manage day-to-day legal issues with sound judgement and strategic insight.

Build strong relationships across internal teams, external counsel, and regulatory bodies.

Engage with government partners, subject-matter experts, and industry bodies to support commercial objectives.

Proactively identify and manage legal and regulatory risk.

Support legal capability development across the business.

Requirements

A law degree and an Australian Practising Certificate (or eligibility to obtain one).

Minimum 6 years’ PQE with at least 1–2 years working in-house.

Extensive experience in real estate and/or corporate law.

Additional exposure to commercial, funds, IP, construction, employment, disputes, or privacy law is highly regarded.

Demonstrated ability to advise on complex legal and regulatory matters.

Proven ability to deliver practical legal solutions in a commercial environment.

Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset.

Exceptional drafting, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Comfortable operating independently and within a high-performing team.

Proactive, organised, and confident managing competing priorities.

This role is ideal for a real estate or corporate lawyer—ideally with in-house experience—seeking a visible, business-facing position in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

If you're looking for a broad and impactful legal role that spans property, corporate, commercial, and operational matters, this opportunity places you at the centre of a dynamic organisation, partnering with senior leaders and shaping legal strategy at scale.
