We are currently seeking an immediately available bookkeeper and payroll officer to join our team on a part time basis with flexible working hours.

The Role

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including debtors and creditors, tracking revenue from events, bank and credit card reconciliations, job costing with all transactions and other financial entries
• Creating event payroll spreadsheets from timecards and processing payroll in MYOB Account right for 75+ employees
• Managing super payments through MYOB
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of records, maintaining proper documentation of all transactions
• Creating and emailing invoices, payroll reporting for events and financial for the accountant monthly – IAS and BAS
• Provide the working director all financial reporting required during event season and the financial year

The Applicant

Proven experience in Bookkeeping and Award Payroll with 5+ years experience

• Must be proficient in MYOB – Account Right would be a bonus!
• Able to calculate BAS and the monthly IAS
• Knowledge of the Hospitality Industry General Award would be a bonus too!
• Being knowledgeable about GST
• Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and work independently are a must
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliability, integrity and dependability will be highly regarded
• Have the ability to be cool, calm and collected in an intense working situation
• Being proficient in excel, word and outlook is preferred
• A diploma or degree in accounting would be highly regarded.
