Position: Business Analyst - 12-Week Contract (Part-Time)
Location: Fully Remote (within Australia, preferably Sydney-based, during office hours)
Contract Duration: 12 weeks
Part Time : minimum 20 hours (3 days approx) - may fluctuate higher
Start Date: Immediate availability required, ideally by mid-next week
Eligibility: Australian or New Zealand Permanent Resident or Citizen
Daily Rate: $600 - $700 per day (excl. GST)
Experience Level: Junior to Mid-Level
We are seeking a proactive and capable Business Analyst for a short-term, part-time contract role. You will be instrumental in supporting a software application upgrade and collaborating with an engineering team to ensure the successful delivery of features.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and document detailed technical product requirements, including updates to user management and task management screens.
• Migrate existing features and enhance them according to new requirements.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to clarify requirements and work items throughout the engagement.
• Maintain and prioritize the backlog of user stories, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Build use cases, user stories, and process flow diagrams, and map user journeys.
• Drive progress within the team to meet project deadlines and ensure the successful delivery of features.
• Effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders using written and visual mediums.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 2-3 years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on software product development (junior to mid-level).
• Proven experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Strong ability to gather, prioritize, and elaborate on detailed technical product requirements.
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset, dedicated to project success, and able to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Ability to drive progress and outcomes within a team.
• Experience in mapping user journeys and creating process flow diagrams is preferred.

Additional Information:

• This role is fully remote but requires availability during office hours in Sydney, Australia.
• While this is a remote position, candidates based in Sydney are strongly preferred.
• You must be based in Australia and hold permanent residency or citizenship.
• Immediate availability is required, with an ideal start date of mid-next week.
