BuildcraftWA has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Scheduler/Procurement Coordinator to join our growing team working in Kwinana Beach. We are offering a permanent position in a rapidly growing organisation with potential for career growth.

The Role:

This is an exciting new position at Buildcraft WA created in response to our growing number of submissions and increasing opportunities across the built environment. As we continue to expand, we recognise the need for a dedicated Scheduler/Procurement Coordinator who’s an expert in the field to schedule our jobs and procure every single item needed for that job for a seamless flawless result.

Conduct thorough market analysis, strategic sourcing, and supplier negotiations to identify cost reduction opportunities and processes.

Key Responsibilities: Scheduler

Scheduling Installations: Coordinate and schedule projects, ensuring proper allocation of resources.

Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between client, managers, and construction teams to confirm schedules, project details, and any changes or updates.

Managing Workloads: Effectively balance the team’s workload, optimizing their time and ensuring they have the necessary materials and resources to complete jobs on schedule.

Customer Service: Address client queries regarding project timelines, delays, or other concerns, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Tracking and Reporting: Maintain and update a detailed installation calendar, track project progress, and keep all parties informed about job statuses.

Problem-Solving: Handle any scheduling conflicts or last-minute changes with efficiency, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.

Key Requirements Scheduling.

Prior experience in scheduling, logistics, or project coordination (preferably construction, or home improvement industry).

Strong Microsoft skills and use of a scheduling computer package.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities at once.

Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities Procurement

Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and terms

Process purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely arrivals on site

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate to avoid shortages

Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and evaluate their performance

Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and industry regulations

Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality

Handle procurement documentation, including contracts and invoices

Resolve any supply issues, delays, or discrepancies efficiently

Drive and achieve cost savings targets and meet established procurement objectives.

In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and supplies to support our operations. You will work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and management to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements:

Experience: 5+ years in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management

Education: Diploma, Certificates preferred but not essential

Strong negotiation and communication skills

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks

Proficiently in MS Office or relevant procurement software.

Knowledge of the construction industry
