Draftsman / Architect – Residential Construction

BlueGum Build is a well-established and still growing residential builder operating across Greater Sydney. With over a decade of trusted experience in granny flats, custom home builds, pools and renovations, we pride ourselves on delivering practical and well-designed spaces our clients love.

We are currently looking for an experienced and self-motivated Draftsman or Architect to join our close-knit team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys residential design, thrives on client interaction, and wants to work with a builder who values quality and integrity.

About the Role

You will be working directly with our clients, internal team, and certifiers to:

• Produce accurate concept and construction drawings (2D & 3D).

• Prepare DA/CDC documentation and manage the submission process.

• Liaise with engineers, consultants, and local councils when required.

• Ensure compliance with BCA, SEPP, and relevant planning regulations.

• Translate client briefs into thoughtful and practical residential designs.

• Provide technical support through various project stages.

About You

• 5+ years’ experience in residential drafting or architecture (preferably in NSW).

• Strong knowledge of DA/CDC process, BCA, and relevant council regulations.

• Skilled in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software.

• Excellent attention to detail and time management.

• Comfortable dealing with clients and external stakeholders.

• Familiarity with small-lot housing, granny flats, or Class 1 builds is a strong advantage.
