The role?

Our client (a well-respected public-sector organisation) is on the hunt for an Urban Designer who can juggle the ideal with the implementable. Think less “blue-sky concept boards,” more Urban Design Frameworks that actually shape communities — and a healthy critique of what developers are bringing to the table.
You’ll be:

• Developing Urban Design Frameworks that speak to place, practicality and policy
• Reviewing and critiquing proposed developer designs — helping make sure projects fit in with the broader urban vision (not stick out like sore thumbs)
• Providing advice that blends creative thinking with pragmatic planning

The vibe?

You’ve got freedom to be a bit fluffy — but you need to get how things really get built. You can talk trees and towers, but also understand traffic, timelines and town hall politics. You’re a bridge between bold ideas and the real-world constraints that come with them.
