Our client in the public sector is seeking a Senior Learning Designer (VPS5 Specialist) to join their team based in inner fringe of Melbourne CBD.
About the role:
As a Senior Learning Designer (VPS5 Specialist), you will lead the end-to-end learning design process for the Teaching Excellence Program. This includes everything from needs analysis to program design and evaluation. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative, evidence-based learning solutions that align with the Academy's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learning Design: Facilitate the full learning design process, ensuring the development of engaging, innovative, and effective professional learning programs.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to gather insights, co-create programs, and ensure all needs are met.
- Data-Driven Insights: Use data and feedback to continuously evaluate and refine learning experiences for greater impact and alignment with strategic goals.
- Program Management: Lead the delivery of complex programs, managing timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to team strategy, linking day-to-day work processes to broader departmental goals and outcomes.

- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any issues constructively.
- Customer Focus: Tailor programs to meet stakeholder needs and effectively manage risks to service delivery.
- People Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop your team, fostering growth and alignment with organisational values and goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in learning design, instructional design, or related fields.
- Strong experience in using digital platforms and tools to enhance learning experiences, engagement, and scalability.
- Proven ability to manage complex programs and engage with a variety of stakeholders.
