Our client is a growing education provider, currently expanding their finance team to support increasing operational demands across multiple institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tuition Fee Processing: Assist in managing and reconciling student tuition fees, ensuring accurate payment postings and adjustments.
• Agent Commission Management: Assist in reconciling agent commissions and processing payments according to contract terms.
• Regulatory Compliance: Support financial reporting and ensure compliance with TEQSA, FEE-HELP, and other regulatory bodies.
• Audit Assistance: Assist in the preparation of financial documentation for the annual audit and provide required support to the auditor.
• Maternity Leave Coverage: Cover the responsibilities of the outsourcing employee during her maternity leave, including bookkeeping, payroll, and other day-to-day accounting tasks.
• Supervision (Post-Maternity Leave): Upon the employee’s return, supervise and support her in handling bookkeeping, accounts payable, and other financial operations.

Key Requirements:

• At least half a year experience working as an Accountant or Bookkeeper
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in an accounting/finance role, ideally in the education industry.
• Proficiency in Xero and Excel (Power BI experience is a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.
