Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Reports to: CFO
Companion Health is experiencing exciting growth and is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our expanding Accounts team. As an Accounts Assistant, you should be detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality service. You will have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, within the team and within the company. Managing multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy and efficiency will be key to your success in this role, and your dedication to excellent service will be crucial in supporting the overall goals of the team.
On a daily basis, you will:
Assist with accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll processing with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
Assist with general accounts tasks, ensuring that all financial records are maintained and updated in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with relevant awards, the SCHADS Award and Nurses Award, and stay up-to-date with legislative changes.
Support the Accounts team by preparing reports and assisting with various ad hoc accounting tasks as required.
Work closely with internal teams to resolve payroll and account-related queries
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Proven experience in a similar account’s assistant role.
Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
Strong working knowledge of the SCHADS Award and Nurses award.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
Exceptional attention to detail, particularly with data entry.
Excellent communication skills, with a positive, friendly, and results-driven approach.
The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet KPIs.
Capability to follow established systems and procedures efficiently.
NDIS Workers Screening Check and completion of NDIS Orientation Module.
Valid working rights in Australia
