ATEQ Consulting Group are seeking a skilled Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic team working from modern offices in Ringwood. The Assistant Accountant will report to the Senior Accountant and will assist with financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the success of a leading company in the industry.

The Role

• Assist with the month and year end close.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly Business Activity Statement.
• Extensive use of Excel to produce reports and analyse data for daily/weekly/monthly reporting to stake holders.
• Support AR and AP as required.
• Manage accruals, prepayments, and general journal postings.
• Handle intercompany recharges and reconciliations.
• Assist taxation.
• Contribute to process improvements.
• Complete ad-hoc tasks assigned by SA.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Degree qualified with a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance.
• This role does not offer sponsorship. Applicants must have full work rights.

Knowledge Skills, Abilities, or Experience:

• 1-2 years hands on experience in an Assistant Accountant or Financial Accountant role.
• Sound technical accounting knowledge
• Experience in MYOB & SAGE Handisoft an advantage.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Prior experience with AP/AR.
• Ability to work effectively and autonomously.
• Reliable, honest and with integrity.
