About the role

As the Medical Receptionist, you will be directly reporting to the Practice Manager and will be responsible for providing high quality customer service within reception to internal and external stakeholders. The role will also undertake administrative tasks whilst supporting the Clinicians on a daily basis.

Key Accountabilities

· Provide customer service to all internal and external stakeholders in the areas of reception, record management and filing.

· Provide administrative support services to Clinicians as required.

· Maintain Patient Information Management System, medical files, spreadsheets and data integrity with high level accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience

· Certificate IV in Business Administration or willingness to obtain.

· Previous experience working within a medical administration environment.

· Demonstrated experience and skills in business support, administration or reception.

· Experience with Patient Information Management Systems (including Best Practice).

Essential Requirements

· Sound knowledge of community health, public health and Aboriginal health.

· Experience working with health service agencies, non-government organisations, community groups and medical professionals at all levels.

· Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and the community.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise tact, initiative and sound judgement.

· Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to demonstrate empathy when required.

· Sound level of numeracy and literacy skills and demonstrated attention to detail.

· Ability to hold a National Police Check and Working with Children Check Clearance.

· Demonstrated experience and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

· Demonstrated ability to work flexibly within tight time schedules and in accordance with variable workload demands.

· Current valid Driver’s Licence.

What Yoorana Gunya can offer you!

Hours: Flexibility in which 2 to 3 days are worked, but Monday is a must. Hours are 8.30am – 4.30pm or 9am – 5pm. Other days may also be available to cover staff leave

Salary Packaging: options are available as a Not-For-Profit Organisation. Up to $15,860 tax effective salary sacrifice is offered

Remuneration: The successful candidate will receive a remuneration of between $30.00 and $37.00 per hour and applicable superannuation dependent on experience and qualifications (paid under Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Practitioners and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services Award)

Other Benefits: Five weeks annual leave per year pro rata
