Job Title: Swim School Site Supervisor
Location: 4 Whyalla Street, Willetton, Perth, Western Australia
Position Type: Permanent Part-Time. 30-32 Hours Per Week Monday to Friday. The roster includes shifts approximately 8.15am – 12.00pm and 2.45pm – 6.15pm with flexibility.
Annual Leave: Can negotiate up to 6 weeks holidays/ annual leave during swim Term breaks.
Salary: $52,780
Work Type: Permanent Part-Time 0.8 FTE

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Swim School Site Supervisor at Willetton to join our team and help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our swim school.
Job Summary:
The Waterwise Willetton Swim School Site Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the swim school site. This includes supervising staff, ensuring compliance with safety standards, assisting with scheduling, and providing exceptional customer service to our students and their families. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in swimming instruction, team management, and a passion for delivering an outstanding experience for all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management: Supervise and support Swim Instructors and support staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and teaching standards.
Operational Oversight: Ensure smooth operation of lessons, maintaining schedules, and making adjustments as needed. Handle any immediate issues related to staff or students.
Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive experience for all Waterwise students and their families.
Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular safety drills, and ensure the swim school meets all required standards set by regulatory bodies (e.g., Royal Life Saving Society, AUSTSWIM, Local Council).
Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, ensuring all equipment is in good working order and conduct regular pool tests.
Administrative Duties: Assist with lesson bookings, invoicing, and other administrative tasks as required.
Training & Development: Support the professional development of staff through ongoing training, performance feedback, and mentorship.
Other duties as required by Waterwise Management Team
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory or management role within a swim school or aquatic facility. Experience in teaching swimming lessons is a plus.
Qualifications: Current AUSTSWIM, Royal Life Saving or equivalent swimming teaching certification (preferred). First Aid and CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain).
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a diverse team and communicate effectively with customers.
Customer-Focused: A passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating a positive environment for both staff and students.
Problem-Solving: Ability to manage challenges and resolve issues quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Organisational Skills: Excellent time management, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of Safety Standards: Familiarity with aquatic safety procedures, risk assessments, and industry best practices.
Physical Requirements: Comfortable working in and around water. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light-to-moderate equipment if necessary.
Experience with Simply Swim is desirable.
