- Casual Position – Various Hours (3+ Shifts per week during scheduled lessons – 3:20pm - 6:30pm weekdays and weekend morning shifts available)
- Salary from $43.95 to $46.30 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading), plus superannuation

About the Role

About You
As a collaborative member of the Swim School team, the position is accountable for lesson planning and delivery and class supervision. The successful appointee must be an adaptable and experienced accredited instructor. They must also thrive working in a very busy and change driven organisation. As such, applicants must be able to demonstrate through their CV and covering letter that they meet the following capabilities:
• Lesson planning,
• Effective communication,
• Class management and behavioural support skills,
• Ability to adapt to varying skill levels and changing circumstances within a lesson,
• Commitment: A willingness to work at least 3 shifts per week (afternoons and weekends),
• Reliable & Professional: Ability to engage positively with clients of all ages and skill levels.
Requirements:
• Successful completion of a swimming instructor accreditation from a nationally recognised RTO (Austswim, Royal Life, Swim Australia)
• Current CPR certification
• Working With Children Check
• Willingness to commit to continued learning and professional development.
• Available and willing to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week.
Desirable
• Experience teaching people with additional needs. Please detail the conditions these swimmers are living with, and the adjustments that you have made to deliver an effective lesson to these people.
