About the job
An exciting opportunity awaits a driven and experienced sales professional to join a well-established machinery dealership. This field-based role will see you managing and growing sales across Brisbane and Northern New South Wales, representing a range of specialised construction equipment.
You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and nurturing existing client relationships within the civil and drilling sectors. This role requires a self-starter who can confidently present solutions and demonstrate the value of the machinery to diverse stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Actively seeking out and developing new customer accounts.
- Maintaining and growing relationships with the existing client base.
- Presenting product features and benefits to potential customers.
- Achieving and exceeding sales targets within the designated territory.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in a sales-focused role, ideally within a related industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels.
- Comfort and confidence in cold calling and generating new leads.
- A proactive and results-oriented approach to achieving targets.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
Previous exposure to Construction or Earthmoving Machinery in a retail or wholesale environment would be advantageous for this position. Candidates who have experience with brands such as Volvo Construction Equipment, Hitachi, Caterpillar/CAT, Liebherr, Komatsu, Kubota, Bobcat, Case Construction, JCB, Yanmar, Sumitomo or similar are strongly encouraged to apply.
This role offers a competitive base salary plus superannuation, along with options for a fully maintained company vehicle or a generous car allowance package including a fuel card. A lucrative commission structure provides the opportunity to significantly increase your earnings based on your sales performance.
