Position Overview:
As the Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, nurturing relationships, and driving revenue growth for the company. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients, industry partners, and key stakeholders while promoting our services and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the construction industry, strong sales skills, and a passion for building lasting business relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and Pursue New Business Opportunities:
Research and identify new clients, projects, and markets to generate business opportunities. Develop a pipeline of potential projects and clients through proactive networking, industry events, and market research.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring long-term business partnerships. Act as the primary point of contact for clients and address their needs throughout the project lifecycle.
Sales and Proposal Development:
Lead the development of proposals, presentations, and bids for potential projects. Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate, competitive, and high-quality proposals that align with client requirements and company capabilities.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
Monitor and report on business development activities, sales performance, and revenue growth. Provide regular updates to senior management on progress toward sales targets and project acquisition.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the construction industry.
Proven track record of successfully generating new business and managing client relationships in the construction sector.
Strong knowledge of the construction industry, including market trends, regulatory requirements, and key players.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
A self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
