Position Overview:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) at iGroup is responsible for generating new business opportunities within the construction industry and other sectors such as Councils, Events, Government agencies, and more. This role involves making outbound sales calls, conducting cold visits to construction projects across Sydney, Newcastle, Central Coast, and Wollongong, and managing a structured sales pipeline to drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and engage potential clients within the construction industry.
- Conduct outbound sales calls to establish and develop business relationships.
- Perform cold calls and site visits to construction projects to promote iGroup's services.
- Maintain an organised sales pipeline with clear goals and review progress regularly.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date sales records and client information for easy reference by Management.
- Ensure all interactions with clients are logged systematically for future follow-ups and sales strategies.
- Utilise the marketing plan, concise records, and a structured approach to generate new leads.
- Develop strategies to onboard new clients into the company’s portfolio.
- Prepare and provide clear, concise budgets for significant contracts.
- Ensure all accepted work meets financial viability and aligns with company profitability goals.
- Research public tenders and potential business opportunities.
- Prepare and submit written company profiles, sales pitches, and tenders for projects that iGroup may quote on.
- Maintain up-to-date, organised, and easily accessible client, sales, and marketing records.
- Provide detailed reports for the executive management team on business development progress.
- Represent iGroup and iGuard in client meetings, business events, and networking functions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients.
- Investigate and review specific client complaints, escalating issues to the operations team.
- Address client requests, including providing Risk Assessments, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), and other key documentation.

- Experience in the construction or security industry is an advantage.
This role is critical in driving the company’s growth and expanding iGroup and iGuard’s presence within the construction sector. The BDM will be expected to meet sales targets, cultivate long-term client relationships, and contribute to the company’s overall success.
