Our client is the market leader in their space. They manufacture niche products here in Australia and distribute them nationally and internationally. They have four sites across NSW. This role sits in brand new offices which are very sleek and close to the factory so you can see all the action while you work!

The Role

This Accounts Officer role will support the AR Manager and Financial Accountant to:

Allocate daily payments and provide detailed allocation reports to the sales team

Verify new customers' ABNs and GST status daily, submitting any necessary changes for approval

Generate and review the open transactions report weekly, clearing zero balances and following up on negative balance accounts to maintain an accurate Aged Debtor Report

Credit card reconciliations

Oversee general office duties, including office maintenance, mail handling, banking, petty cash management, and other ad-hoc tasks to support the team

Your Background

Our client will consider someone who has:

A diploma or degree in Accounting

At least 6 months of accounting experience but no more than 3 years. We are looking for someone entry-level to stay in this role and then progress through the team over time.

Excellent communication skills

A valid visa to work permanently in Australia for at least the next 2 years consecutively

Is a great team player with a positive attitude and shows eagerness to learn & take on new tasks
