About the role
As our new HR Officer/Advisor, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our HR function by delivering high-quality, hands-on support across all areas of the employee lifecycle. This role is part-time and based at our Rocklea office, offering the chance to be involved in a variety of HR activities within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support end-to-end recruitment activities including interviewing, shortlisting, and liaising with hiring managers.
Manage HR administration tasks related to onboarding, probation, variations, and offboarding, including preparation of employment contracts and other key documents.
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and compliance with best practices.
Provide advice and support to managers and employees on HR matters such as employee relations, recruitment, and entitlements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files and HR records in line with legislative requirements.
Coordinate Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) compliance activities.
Manage workers’ compensation reporting and claims processes.
Oversee employee onboarding and induction programs, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
Contribute to HR projects and company-wide initiatives as needed.
Assist in the coordination of annual performance reviews, promotion processes, and other national HR programs.
About You
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an HR Officer or Advisor position, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Solid understanding of HR legislation, employment relations, and payroll practices.
Proven experience in managing workplace incidents and workers’ compensation claims.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels.
Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities with a flexible, hands-on approach.
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources (completed or in progress).
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Word and Excel skills.
