About the Role: Our client, a leading organization in the transport and logistics industry, is seeking a HR Advisor to join their team in Brisbane. This is a generalist HR role, involving a range of duties, including supporting with job architecture projects, assisting with Dayforce-related tasks, handling work cover, injury management, incidents, and return-to-work queries, as well as minor investigations as required.
This is a temporary position with a plan to transition into a full-time, permanent role by the end of the financial year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support and guidance on general HR queries, including work cover, injury management, and return-to-work processes.
- Assist with minor investigations related to workplace incidents and grievances.
- Support project-based tasks, such as job architecture and HR system improvements (with a focus on Dayforce).
- Manage injury management processes and ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
- Respond to and resolve HR-related queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the broader HR team to ensure the smooth running of HR operations.
- Assist in the ongoing development of HR processes and initiatives to improve workforce capabilities.
Key Requirements:
- Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and legislation, particularly in work cover, injury management, and return-to-work processes.
- Experience working with HR systems, particularly Dayforce (or similar platforms).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across various levels of the business.
- Ability to approach sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Qualifications: HR qualifications (e.g., Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field).
- Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within the transport, logistics, or heavy industry sectors.
