About the Role

An exciting opportunity to join a local government team as a Senior HR Advisor in Emerald for a short-term contract. This role is ideal for a skilled HR professional with experience in employment relations, workplace investigations, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert advice on employment and industrial relations legislation.

Conduct and manage workplace investigations and dispute resolution.

Collaborate with unions and external stakeholders.

Deliver high-level customer service, advocacy, and negotiation.

Prepare and present HR-related information in group settings.

Maintain accurate documentation and reports using Microsoft Office.

To Be Successful, You Will Need:

Proven experience in HR advisory roles, particularly in local government.

Strong knowledge of employment and industrial relations legislation.

Ability to handle workplace investigations and employee relations matters.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

A Queensland C Class Provisional Driver's Licence.

Competitive pay: $65.52 - $74.85 per hour (incl. 25% casual loading).

9-day fortnight (72.5 hours per fortnight).
