Incos Engineering is a fully locally owned and operating company in Western Australia, focused on smart safety solutions for integrated firefighting systems and safety solutions for onshore/offshore projects in the Energy and specialised Marine Sectors.
Our operations span four distinct departments:
Project and Manufacturing
Service and Maintenance
After-Sales Components and Products (representing several international OEMs)
Engineering Consultancy
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative environment, supporting sales across all departments and working closely with engineering, operations, and commercial teams.
The Role
As an Internal Sales Engineer, you will:
Respond to inbound sales enquiries and technical requests
Prepare and follow up on quotations and proposals
Support external sales efforts with technical and commercial input
Liaise with engineering, procurement, and production teams to develop solutions
Build strong relationships with key suppliers and OEM partners
Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and assist in pipeline development
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our sales processes and customer experience
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and timely quotations, tenders, and proposals for a range of engineering products and services
Interpret customer specifications and technical requirements
Support external sales engineers with pre-sales activity and follow-ups
Respond to incoming sales enquiries by phone and email, providing technical support where required
Liaise with internal departments (engineering, production, service) to ensure feasibility, pricing, and lead times
Maintain relationships with key suppliers and international OEMs
Track and manage sales activity through CRM systems and regular reporting
Support the team with order processing, documentation, and handover to operations
Assist in identifying new business opportunities or upselling opportunities within existing accounts
Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes, documentation, and customer engagement
Qualifications and Skills
A background in Mechanical Engineering
Previous experience in a sales, applications, or customer-facing engineering role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commercial awareness with technical aptitude
Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
Bonus: Experience in the energy sector or working with OEM components and engineered solutions.
