About the role
As the Events & Operations Manager at The Promenade Docklands', you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of this premier hospitality and tourism destination. This full-time position is based in Docklands, VIC 3008, and will see you responsible for ensuring the smooth running and exceptional guest experiences across the various facilities and services offered.
What you'll be doing
Manage and coordinate all operational aspects of the business, including staffing, inventory, and reporting
Develop and implement strategies to optimise operational efficiency and deliver high-quality service
Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for guests and staff
Collaborate with the management team to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities
Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies
Foster a positive, customer-focused culture and lead a team of dedicated professionals
What we're looking for
Extensive experience (5+ years) in a similar operations management role, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage staff and oversee all operational aspects of a busy, multi-faceted business
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on continuous improvement
Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and a commitment to ensuring compliance
Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
