About the role

We are seeking an experienced Receptionist to join our team at Highpoint International Hotel in Gladstone, Queensland. This is a casual role, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyle. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial part in creating a warm and welcoming environment for all who visit our hotel.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and assisting guests in a friendly and professional manner

Managing incoming calls and emails, providing information and directing enquiries accordingly

Performing administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and maintaining up-to-date records

Coordinating guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring a seamless experience

Handling cash and financial transactions with accuracy

Providing exceptional customer service and resolving any guest concerns promptly

Supporting the wider hotel team as needed

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a similar receptionist or customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of guests

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively

Proficient in the use of computer systems and office software

A friendly, professional, and enthusiastic attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service

A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
