Salary Range: $75,000 to $80,000 AUD plus superannuation per annum

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team and contribute to our ongoing growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

• Conducting financial analysis and interpreting financial data to provide meaningful insights and support business decisions.

• Preparing and maintaining budgeting and forecasting models to track business performance.

• Monitoring and maintaining internal control systems to ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.

• Preparing and submitting business activity statements (BAS), tax returns, and other regulatory compliance documents.

• Ensuring timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.

• Recommending financial actions by analyzing accounting options and offering cost reduction and revenue-enhancing suggestions.

• Liaising with auditors, tax agents, and other external parties as required.

• Providing guidance and support to junior finance team members when necessary.

• Keeping up to date with financial policies, legislation, and industry best practices.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (essential).

• CPA/CA qualification (or working towards it) is highly desirable.

• Proven experience in a similar accounting role (essential).

• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and taxation laws.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
