The Key Accounts Support Person plays a critical role in maintaining strong relationships with key customers by providing exceptional service and efficient support. This role ensures seamless order processing, accurate account and inventory management, and timely responses to inquiries while coordinating with internal teams to meet customer needs. By proactively monitoring key accounts, addressing issues, and assisting with reporting and forecasting, the position contributes to overall customer satisfaction and business growth. The role also supports sales efforts by managing contracts, special pricing agreements, and procurement processes, ensuring a smooth and professional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
Providing administrative and internal sales support for key accounts.
Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers, ensuring prompt responses and issue resolution.
Manage general customer inquiries via phone and email, directing as needed.
Offer pricing, availability, and product information to customers and sales teams.
Process orders including export orders, generate picking slips, create proforma invoices, and track order progress.
Maintain and update key account records, contracts, and special pricing agreements.
Assist in procurement, tender submissions, and contract management.
Handle general office tasks, including filing, archiving, and data entry.
Coordinate with logistics and production teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
Monitor inventory levels, participate in stock-taking, and provide forecasting insights.
Generate and analyse sales reports, identifying trends and opportunities for key accounts.
Collaborate with sales teams to produce accurate sales reports to analyse and make recommendations.
Ensure compliance with safety, PPE, and quality procedures.
Experience and Skills
Experience in key account management or customer service.
Proficiency in MYOB or similar ERP/CRM systems.
Strong time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
Analytical skills to interpret sales data and customer trends.
