The Project Administration Officer with Carers WA is a full-time, fixed-term contract until June 2026. The position attracts a salary of $85,000 p.a., plus super, salary packaging, 5 weeks annual leave (with 17.5% leave loading) and 2 wellness days per annum.

Carers WA is the peak body representing the needs and interests of carers in Western Australia and is part of a national network of Carers Associations providing a range of support services, supporting Carers across Western Australia. Carers provide unpaid care and support to family members and friends who have disability, mental health challenges, a chronic condition, terminal illness, an alcohol or other drug issue or who are frail aged.

About this role:
The Project Administration Officer is an integral part of our team, providing essential administrative support to both the Executive and project teams, thus aiding in the successful completion of strategic projects. This role is pivotal in supporting organisational change and growth strategies.
- Responsibilities are multifaceted and encompass providing comprehensive administrative support, including managing correspondence, compiling data for reports, and assisting with daily operational activities and project tasks.
- A significant part of the role involves the preparation, organisation, and maintenance of all project-related documentation, including the creation and updating of project timelines, tracking tasks and actions, and recording the progress of various projects.
- A keen eye for detail is required to ensure accuracy, quality, and integrity of all project documents and reports. This extends to the review of all project documentation to meet the organisation's high standards and effectively support the delivery of critical strategies for organisational change.
- Effective interpersonal skills is a key aspect of the role to foster clear and open communication within project teams and stakeholders, including distributing project updates, liaising with team members to gather information, and providing regular reports on project status to the organisation and Executive team.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively under pressure is essential.

Essential Selection Criteria:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the community services sector.
- Experience in supervising staff and/or volunteers.
- Project skills and experience (including project planning and delivery).
- High level of interpersonal and communication, both written and verbal.
- Skills in public speaking at a variety of events, including expos and workshops.
- Intermediate level competency using computer software including Microsoft Office Suite, and/or customised client databases, as well as virtual communication modes (phone, skype, Zoom).
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise with highly developed time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Current C class drivers’ licence, National Police Clearance issued within the last 3 months (to be provided upon employment) and current Working with Children Check.
- Previous experience in project administration or a related role would be highly advantageous, along with a proven track record of supporting complex projects to successful completion.
