Located on the fringe of Melbourne’s CBD, our client is a well-established and highly reputable engineering & construction business experiencing significant growth. As part of their growth strategy, they are seeking an experienced Project Administrator to join their team and contribute to their ongoing success.

Please note – this client values the culture they have built & puts a strong emphasis on teamwork. For that reason, this role will be based 5 days on site.

The Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a key role in a high-performing, close-knit project team. This respected leader is highly regarded in the industry and has built a strong reputation among those who have worked with them. Known for their collaborative approach, they work closely with all members of the project & administration team, with a proven track record of developing skills and advancing careers.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Project set up
  • Supporting proposals for fee’s & tender submissions
  • Gathering internal & external material to support project set up
  • Tracking & recording project completion against timeframes
  • General administrative support
  • Backup support to finance function (Accounts Payable & Receivable & Payroll)

The Successful Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Project Administrator. Ideally you will be coming from an engineering / construction / consulting industry, however candidates coming from a service-based business with project administration experience are encouraged to apply.
With exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills, you will build effective relationships across all levels, both internally and externally. You will also enjoy working with a diverse range of stakeholders, including project and development managers.
Key Skills and Experience:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate excel skills
  • Proven stakeholder management skills across all levels
  • Project administration / project management experience
  • Deadline-driven and highly organised
  • Some basic accounts experience is desirable (although can be trained)
  • Excellent communication skills
