We are seeking a highly skilled Office Manager & Administrator to join our tech-driven Building & Engineering Consultancy.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to manage administrative operations, coordinate new orders, and support our field team in delivering exceptional client service.
About the Role
As the Office Manager & Administrator, you will be responsible for:
- Processing and managing all new orders received online, via phone, or via email.
- Overseeing each order from inception to completion, ensuring smooth allocation to staff or field contractors.
- Coordinating closely with inspectors to ensure timely report completion and relaying any delays or concerns to clients.
- Acting as the key communication link between our back office, field workers, and clients to ensure a seamless service experience.
- Assisting the Director in preparing professional reports, primarily for court submissions.
- Typing up detailed project reports for larger assignments requiring several days to complete.
- Ensuring high levels of customer service and accuracy in all communications.

We are a leading Building & Engineering Consultancy specializing in diagnosing Building and structural issues, providing solutions throughout the building lifecycle, from pre-construction to post-construction and projects in litigation .
Our services also include Pre-Purchase Building & Pest Reports and Pre-Purchase Strata Reports for real estate transactions.
Key Requirements
- Exceptional Typing Speed:
Ideally 100 WPM with a high level of accuracy. - Technical Proficiency:
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word & Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus. - Strong Administrative & Organizational Skills:
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently. - Excellent Communication:
Must be a fluent English speaker with outstanding verbal and written communication skills. - Attention to Detail:
Ability to accurately follow and relay instructions. - Customer Service Experience:
Proven track record in a client-facing role, over the phone and email. - Residency & Work Rights:
You must be a permanent resident of Australia with no work restrictions.
Location & Work Schedule
- Current Office Location: Balmain
- Future Relocation: North Sydney / Cremorne / Neutral Bay / Mosman
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Salary & Benefits
- Salary Package: $85K PA (inclusive of superannuation)
- Annual Leave: 4 weeks per year
