Cloncurry Shire Council is currently seeking an Assistant Director – Childcare to join the team at Curry Kids Early Learning Centre.

• $90,000 plus Super

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced early childhood professional to step into a leadership role, supporting the Centre Director in managing day-to-day operations and ensuring the highest standards of care and education are maintained.

In this role, you will play a vital part in mentoring educators, supporting team development, and driving continuous improvement. You’ll be responsible for a range of operational tasks including rostering, family engagement, enrolment management, and compliance—all while maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children, families, and staff. You'll also gain valuable experience in business administration and strategic planning to help you grow into a future Centre Director role.

The ideal candidate will hold a Diploma-level early childhood qualification (minimum), possess strong leadership and organisational skills, and demonstrate a genuine commitment to early learning excellence.
