The Centre
anzuk Early Childhood is currently working with a well resourced early learning Centre in the Sutherland Shire. This Centre is highly regarded in the area and are known for their high quality of care, their low staff turnover and their inclusive ands welcoming culture. The service is focused on providing a supportive and a fun environment and believes that the relationship between children and the educators is integral in creating a positive learning environment for the children.

The opportunity
This is a rare opportunity that has only come about due to a relocation. Your role as an Assistant Director will be to support the current Director on a day to day basis. You will work and on off the floor and support and guide the team in regard to compliance and best practice. You will use your previous experience in a similar role to ensure the high standards of the centre are maintained. We are looking for a “people person” leader who shows initiative, professionalism and ability to build, manage and grow a team of passionate and inspiring educators.

You will have excellent communication skills, strong focus on being hands on with the team and ability to build trusted relationships with families and the wider community. You will be paid above award and have the opportunity for career development.

The Candidate
As the ideal candidate, you will present with a strong understanding of the EYLF and NQS and have experience as an assistant director or a room leader with 2+ years experience. You'll also have excellent communication skills, be a team player and be passionate about providing education and care of the highest standard to children. The ideal candidate for this position will hold;

• Diploma in Children's Services / Bachelor of Early Childhood
• A current Working with Vulnerable People card.
• Current first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis
• Experience as a 2IC/Assistant director or 2+ years as a Room Leader
