The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified, and dedicated Director for our OSHC service for the remainder of the year. The Director will lead the Assistant Director and the OSHC Educators to provide a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children in Before and After School Care.

St Brigid’s OSHC is a continuation of our school where every child is known, welcome and every child belongs.
Working Hours
The OSHC hours will be (school term only)
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:30am-9:00am
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:30pm-6:15pm
However, for the right candidate, there is flexibility in extending these hours to Mon-Friday.
This position is a temporary position until December 11th 2025
Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will collaborate with the OSHC team to plan, deliver, and implement an effective program that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and communication, while promoting children’s agency over their learning.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Leadership experience, including supervising staff and managing complex situations.
Experience supporting children with additional needs.
Strong organisation and time management skills.
The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
Well-developed observation and reporting skills.
Experience in administrative duties related to OSHC operations.
A passion for working with children and supporting their individual needs.
The ability to model and teach appropriate behaviours while providing proactive support for children.
The successful applicant must have or be willing to obtain:
· Qualifications recognised by ACECQA for working in a child-related industry.
A current Working with Children Check and Catholic Clearance.
A current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012).
Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse & Neglect - Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) training.
A strong understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and My Time, Our Place framework.
Food Safety Training (or willingness to undertake).
