The Opportunity…

Due to continued growth, a permanent opportunity has become available for a Collections Officer to join their collaborative and high-performing team. Reporting to the Collections Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing a portfolio of overdue consumer mortgage accounts (up to 30 days in arrears), while contributing to the success of the broader collections function.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Proactively contacting customers to recover outstanding debts while maintaining a professional and empathetic approach
• Negotiating and establishing sustainable payment arrangements tailored to individual customer circumstances
• Monitoring and maintaining ongoing payment plans to ensure compliance
• Monitoring email inbox and responding to customer queries
• Issuing Notice of Demand
• Liaising with various internal stakeholders to solve customer queries

You…

To thrive in this role, you'll bring experience, resilience, and a customer-first mindset. The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 12 months experience in collections within the financial services sector
• Previous exposure to overdue mortgage accounts highly regarded, but not essential
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive conversations professionally
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• A results-driven approach with a focus on compliance and customer care
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
