This role is the frontend customer & brokers liaison for commercial & consumer collection matters. The primary purpose of this role is to manage, organise and maintain the collection of debtors data.

Roles and responsibilities

Managing Delinquent accounts

Managing customer & broker enquires via email and deliver exceptional service

Manage, organise and maintain accurate collections information and data

Manage early-stage customers for collection purposes and analyze customer accounts to negotiate payment of outstanding debt and rehabilitate early arrears accounts.

Build and establish relationships with customers and broker with rapport and trust

Making and receiving high volume outbound/inbound calls

Send appropriate notices, emails, and SMS to customers.

Detailed and accurate file action notes for all customer interactions

Ensure all collection activity is in compliance with the Privacy Act, NCCP Act

Ledger Management

Managing your ledger and associated information effectively to achieve maximum results

Take ownership of the ledger and prioritize your daily task by time management

Work autonomously and handle work with accountability

How to succeed

A passion for customer interactions and ability to build and nurture professional relationships will ensure success in the role.

We are looking for someone with the following:

Tertiary qualification in banking, finance, commerce, economics, law or a related field

Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in collections environment within either a commercial bank or finance company

Experience in an asset-backed collections environment is highly desirable

Knowledge of collection procedures is essential

Sound understanding of current legislative requirements, Corporations Act, NCCP, PPSA, AML & CTF and Privacy Act

Must have Australian working rights (citizen or PR)
