HJM Electrical is a leading electrical company servicing builders from the Gold Coast to Brisbane. Based in beautiful Coolangatta, we specialise in residential and light commercial electrical work. Known for our outstanding customer service and problem-solving expertise, we continue to grow—so we're looking for an exceptional Office Administrator to join our team!

About the Role

This role is key to ensuring the smooth operation of our office. You’ll work closely with the business owners to handle administrative tasks efficiently, professionally, and with a smile! This role has a high need for attention to detail and is well suited to process minded people.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Scheduling jobs for the owners and tradesmen

Managing accounts payable & receivable, invoicing, and data entry

Handling several administrative tasks in our job management software, AroFlo

Providing excellent customer service and professional phone communication

Assisting with marketing activities (social media, customer database, mailing letters, etc.)

Overseeing timesheets and preparing pay runs in Xero

Ordering materials and keeping jobs on track

Ensuring high-quality work is delivered on time

Looking for opportunities to improve efficiency in office processes

What We’re Looking For:

✅ Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in office administration (experience in an electrical or trade business is a bonus)
✅ Xero experience (or proficiency in another accounting system like MYOB)
✅ Familiarity with AroFlo or similar job management software (preferred but not essential)
✅ Excellent organisational and communication skills
✅ A proactive, problem-solving attitude
✅ A genuine desire to be part of a supportive, high-performing team
