About the role
Our Chlor-Alkali manufacturing facility located in Lytton QLD produces Sodium Hypochlorite, Hydrochloric Acid and Caustic Soda for the water treatment industry, swimming pool industry and local industrial customers. We have a dedicated distribution network that services our depots and clients throughout QLD and NSW.
As a Transport Scheduler at Coogee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective movement of our products across our service area. In this full-time position based in Lytton, Queensland, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimising our transportation operations to meet customer demands while adhering to safety and compliance standards.
Tasks include:
Developing and maintaining transportation schedules to meet delivery deadlines, while complying with NHVAS and Dangerous Goods legislation;
Monitoring and adjusting schedules in response to changes in demand, traffic conditions, or other factors
Coordinating with drivers, dispatchers, and other logistics personnel to ensure the timely and safe delivery of goods
Analyzing transportation data to identify opportunities for improving efficiency and reducing costs
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies
What you will bring to the role:
Proven experience in transport scheduling or logistics, preferably within the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry
Strong understanding and knowledge of Australian Standard AS2809 related to dangerous goods road tankers
Solid knowledge and understanding of heavy transport safety principles and regulations including CoR requirements;
Major Hazard Facility and Fuel or Chemical industry experience would be highly desirable but is not essential
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to handle changing priorities and deadlines
