About the role:

We are looking for a passionate and organised New Product Development (NPD) Support professional to join our team in the exciting world of bakery innovation. Reporting to the NPD Commercialisation Manager, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the development of new bakery products from concept through to launch. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to work in a fast-paced environment, gain hands-on experience in product development, and contribute to creating the next generation of bakery delights

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct daily sensory analysis and trend data to ensure products adhere to quality standards.

Ensure products comply with food safety regulations, labelling standards, and quality control guidelines.

Assist in maintaining detailed records of product development processes, including Product Information Systems (PIM).

Work closely with the NPD manager to drive the development of new bakery products, turning creative ideas into market-ready innovation.

Collaborate with R&D, Production, Quality and Maintenance teams to create unique, high-quality products that align with consumer demands and quality standards.

Provide technical insights and recommendations to optimize product performance.

Being active in capturing key information throughout the development lifecycle of concept to launch.

Qualifications:

A degree in Food Science and Technology, or similar.

Ideally, you will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role in FMCG.

Experience in product development support or a similar role within the food or bakery industry is a plus.

Strong attention to detail, with a keen interest in new product innovation.

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams within the business.
