About your new role

As a Senior Data Analyst at the City of Gold Coast, you will play a valuable role in driving data-driven decision making across the organisation. You will be responsible for working with City business partners to design and develop analytical solutions by creating self-service business intelligence reports and dashboards.

This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, expertise in data visualisation, and proficiency with data analytics tools to provide actionable, data-driven insights for the organisation.

The position is part of the Performance and Analytics business unit in the Department of Strategy, People and Performance.

We're looking for people who have:

• Bachelor Information Technology, Data Science or Data Analytics or equivalent experience
• 5+years' experience in Data Analytics or related discipline
• Collaborated closely with stakeholders to drive impactful insights and reporting solutions
• Experience in designing, developing and maintain automated reports that visually present and effectively communicate business insights and intelligence.
• Skills in data analytics tools such as PowerBI, DAX, Power Query, SQL and Python
• Experience in MS Azure, Synapse, Power automate or power apps advantageous
• Demonstrated experience in data analytics methodologies, including comprehensive problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.
• Lead and mentor teams by driving high safety and wellbeing awareness, and a culture of care and respect for the work environment.
