The role:
We are seeking a highly experienced, reliable and passionate Workshop Manager for our Mount Kuring Gai heavy vehicle workshop. Our vegetation management operations span nationally, and we have major maintenance depots in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Hobart critical to our operations.
This skilled and enthusiastic individual will manage the day-to-day operations of a busy workshop as part of a nationwide fleet team. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of (light vehicle and heavy diesel) mechanics, apprentices, and other staff, ensuring that all repair and maintenance work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards supporting our extensive fleet of trucks, EWPs and associated plant in NSW.
- Previous experience as a Workshop Manager.
- Previous budgeting/forecasting and reporting experience in a similar environment.
- Strong leader and mentor to 10+ workshop team members.
- oversee the execution of all service schedules in the workshop.
- Manage Toolbox, Safety Alerts, Factory recalls and defect management clearance.
- Manage admin of Workshop Management system.
- Work with the National Maintenance Manager to ensure equipment integrity from a National perspective.
About you:
- Minimum 5 years managing medium to large workshop.
- Qualified diesel mechanic (highly desirable) with 10 + years’ experience.
- Hold a current NSW Heavy Vehicle Inspectors licence
- Experience with EWP maintenance requirements highly desirable
- Experience with Maintenance software highly desirable.
- Hydraulics experience desired.
- Experience with Isuzu, Hino, Mercedes, Mitsubishi Volvo desirable but not essential.
- MR Drivers licence required, HR licence desirable
- Experience in general fleet Maintenance.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Demonstrated ability working within a fast-paced environment.
- Competent with the Microsoft Office Suite - particularly Outlook and Excel
What you will need:
- A valid MR/HR driver’s licence
- Mechanical qualification (Cert III Minimum in Plant Operations or Heavy Diesel)
- A highly motivated, positive attitude

About Aerial Access Australia
Aerial Access Australia is a leading supplier in EWPs (Elevating work platforms) in Australia. Over the years we have sold over 500 EWPs to Councils, Electricity Supply industry, Power Line Maintenance industry and many other independent businesses.
Aerial Access boast a modern 12 bay workshop and a 1,000 square meters assembly plant, located in Mount Kuring-Gai, a northern suburb of Sydney, with the necessary equipment to manufacture and service EWPs and highly trained staff qualified for all aspects of EWP manufacture, operation and maintenance. Aerial Access also provides maintenance and repair services for EWPs from other manufacturers. The maintenance and repair service includes mechanical and electrical test facilities.
