The Business Managers key responsibilities are ensuring that the company can function efficiently to deliver training and assessment services, provide high-quality customer service, and increase profits. They are responsible for leading and overseeing all operations including the accounting processes for the business. They supervise and lead and recruit all employees, and are responsible for the development of operational and business procedures. Ultimately, the business manager will be responsible for maintaining successful daily business practices and ushering in new growth opportunities.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Mandatory:

Currently approved VET qualifications for all delivery areas, approved industry experience and the ability to demonstrate currency in vocational workplace competencies.

Minimum vocational teaching qualification - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 (or equivalent)

Three or more years of experience in a business management or similar role

Strong ability with financial and budgetary processes

Superior leadership skills, with focus on employee coaching and development

Ability to lead, train and motivate staff to achieve company targets.

Up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry trends

Excellent knowledge of laws and regulations regarding VET Industry, business operations, human resources, and financial operations.

Strong ability with database and information systems software

Experience in data analysis

Excellent knowledge of operational policies and procedures

Well-developed negotiation skills.

Ability to confidently hold meetings with high-profile clients, key stakeholders, and senior management.

Competency in use and application of relevant industry software and programs

The commitment to helping students’ study and encouraging them to achieve their goals.

Strong presentation skills with ability to connect with their audience and provide high-level content.

A self-motivated individual who can work autonomously and as part of a team.

Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills

Qld C Class Driving Licence

Blue Card or the ability to obtain.

Ability to pass a criminal history check.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to prioritise and a high level of attention to detail.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Studies in adult learning methodology

Qualifications in Adult Education

At least 3 years' experience in a management position.

A minimum 2 years of relevant vocational training experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, business management, or other related fields.

Qualifications from recognised bodies such as the Chartered Management Institute or the Institute of Leadership and Management

Outstanding leadership abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Working knowledge of the latest business policies and regulations.

Demonstrable analytical thinking and business insight.
