About the Role:

WorkPac is currently in search of an Operations Manager to join our esteemed client's team, based in Kalgoorlie. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to lead a skilled team and drive operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee daily machining workshop operations to meet production targets and deadlines.

Develop and implement efficient production schedules and workflows.

Lead, train, and manage machinists, operators, and support staff.

Ensure compliance with quality control standards and address non-conformances.

Maintain a safe working environment and enforce safety regulations.

Manage inventory, tools, and equipment to prevent production delays.

Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Communicate with customers to ensure requirements are met and provide updates.

Skills and Experience:

Qualification in machining with experience in both manual and CNC machining.

Strong understanding of machining processes, equipment, and materials.

Experience with hydraulic cylinder rebuilds.

Minimum 5 years in a leadership role within a machining or manufacturing environment.

Excellent problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.

Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in a machining workshop.

Proficiency in ERP software and production management tools.

Strong communication, leadership, and team management abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet production deadlines.
