Our client, a dynamic and rapidly expanding player in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry, employs over 1,000 people nationally. As part of their ongoing growth, they are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of IT to join their leadership team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a results-driven IT leader to make a significant impact in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Purpose of the role

Located on the southside of Brisbane, The Head of IT will be responsible for the delivering the IT strategy, with a focus on modernising systems, optimising processes and improving efficiencies across the business. The role will require the successful applicant to bring expertise in operations, project management, project delivery, change management as well as being a strong leader, who leads by example.

The initial scope of the role will focus on the delivery of a new ERP system. Previous experience delivering an ERP system from inception to go live is essential. In addition, the role requires someone with a background in infrastructure and security, coupled with a solid understanding of application, software and data.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the ongoing development and execution of a comprehensive technology strategy that supports and aligns with the company's broader business goals.
• Lead, manage, and mentor the IT team, ensuring they are equipped to effectively meet objectives and contribute to the achievement of strategic goals.
• Strengthen and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect the company's digital assets and confidential information.
• Collaborate with the Executive team to understand critical business needs and proactively plan for both immediate and future technology demands.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing multiple concurrent projects across complex, multi-site environments.

About you

• A bachelor's or advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant certifications in the ICT sector.
• At least 10 years of demonstrated leadership experience, with a strong emphasis on technology and innovation.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, external partners and vendors.
• Previous experience delivering a full lifecycle ERP replacement project
• Hands on Project management and change management experience
