We are seeking a temporary Financial Accountant to cover 6 months maternity leave. In this role, you will manage accounts payable/receivable, payrolls, financial records, and assist with budget and reporting. You will ensure compliance with accounting standards and support the finance team with day-to-day financial operations. This is a short-term position requiring attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Job Description

Collaborate with finance teams in Melbourne and Mainland China (Mandarin speaker required).

F&B experience in financial operations preferred.

Oversee day-to-day operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

Manage high-volume transactions while ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions and records.

Oversee cash flow management for major capital purchases, working capital, and other financing needs.

Manage various taxes and reporting requirements, including BAS, Payroll Tax, PAYG instalments, Superannuation, Workers Compensation, FBT, and GST.

Ensure the company complies with all statutory financial requirements.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Provide ad hoc reporting with detailed business performance analysis, trends, and opportunities.

Work closely with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.

Assist the CFO, Directors, and Senior Managers in developing financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term goals.
