The Financial Accountant role supports the Finance team to ensure the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial accounting and the AR/AP Procedures.

You will achieve this through taking responsibility for the Accounts Payable and Receivable process, general ledger reconciliation, daily cash reconciliation and assisting with delivery of month end financial accounts and other activities.

Furthermore, as the financial accountant you will be required to assist in preparing budgets and work closely with key internal stakeholders where detailed analysis and reporting is required on an ad-hoc basis; prioritising these requests with the wider strategic objectives and management stakeholder expectations.

In this role you will be responsible for and our profile will ideally consist of:-

• Daily accurate processing of bank statements/cash collections (cash collection reconciliation and processing)
• Managing and processing Accounts payable and receivables transactions
• Reconciliation of the general ledger accounts (via Blackline) and inter-company balances
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly and year-end financial accounts and supporting other month-end / QTR-end / year-end close process
• Prepare, analyse & validate necessary financial data and information
• Assistance with preparation of financial reports, relevant board materials and financial statements
• Tax related reporting including GST returns, corporation tax returns etc
• Participate and take initiative in continual improvement processes

The Ideal Candidate

• A Tertiary qualification in Finance or Business
• Part way or completed CPA/CA qualified
• Be a natural team player with a curious mindset
• Have a healthy interest in systems and automation
• Bring circa 3-5 experience in a similar transnational reporting role.
